I am on an authentic listening tour – for what you are up to and for what you might be up against and for what might be possible for you from this point forward
One of my primary objectives for 2010, with all people in my life and business, has been to be a better listener, upon which our relationship could be enriched, better served and more fulfilled.
As we wrap up the year, I am committed to be that for you. In recent weeks, I have been freshly catching up with people with whom I may not have spoken to in a while, as well deepening my ability to “get the communications” of those with whom I am currently with.
This practice has allowed for a new level of trust and rapport, as we have been discussing, and newly addressing, at hand challenges and opportunities. Many have reported that they have experienced fresh innovative energy for their life and their work.
So if you would like to talk with someone “outside of your box”, test drive some new brainstorms that you may be having, or just simply rant and let it rip, feel free to let us know and let’s set up a workable time to speak.
On this note, and additionally for your business growth, as we enter the Holiday Season, many people will be gathering socially and probably reflecting upon their accomplishments for 2010, as well as thinking ahead to 2011. In that light, this can also be a possible time for us all to ask for introductions and meet new people who are also looking to be heard and may be amenable to exploring additional ways that we might add real value.
In recent weeks, several of our financial advisory clients have received meaningful referrals that became new clients. We suggest you definitely let everyone you know (clients, centers of influence, family, friends, neighbors, etc) that you have the time, energy, capacity and desire to meet/possibly work with new people.
Other seemingly common sense ideas that we suggest we practice during this time of year??
- Always maintain our highest possible levels of integrity, sincerity and authentic service.
- Take great care and pace ourselves accordingly, to keep our stress levels down.
- Consider frequent breaks, plenty of water and rest, exercise, healthy diet and good music.
- Increase our initiative and resourcefulness with people that will strengthen and energize us.
- With life beyond work, invest as much time as you can with those you care about most.
A role model to consider? As you may know, pioneer investor (Sir) John Templeton was known for his continuous spirit of gratitude and vigilant efforts to add value. Templeton attributed much of his success to his ability to maintain an elevated mood, avoid anxiety and stay disciplined. May we all take a page from his book
We will continue to work to keep the energy, the resiliency and the productive idea levels up. As we look forward, many Financial Advisors that I know are already doing a re-think about their 2011 business turnaround, branding, marketing and growth plans. We will also be on the lookout for helpful ways to go beyond our fiscal environment’s current challenges and coming to you with suggestions in December.
Again, let us know what you are up to and what you might be up against. We look forward to expanding our relationship and our efforts into 2011.
Happy Thanksgiving
&
A Wonderful 2010 Holiday Season
With sincere and deep appreciation,
