Can We Be Exemplary as We Get Our New Year into Gear??

Happy New Year to all our highly valued clients and acquaintances:

For years, I have repeatedly advocated the mantra, “So goes January, so goes Our 1st Quarter, so goes Our Year”. Whatever your hopes, dreams, aspirations, needs, and goals are for 2022, you can set yourself up for success to carry you forward.

I am no exception. We are all starting the year off from scratch and re-harnessing our energies, getting professional activities freshly off the ground and getting ourselves into some level of gear for the year to create a fulfilling momentum.

Recently, I have been thinking about how best to be exemplary in 2022. This would be a challenge for me to live up to and possibly serve as a model for others.

Merriam-Webster defines exemplary as: deserving imitation: commendable.

For me, this will likely require a fresh wave of inspirational ideas and perspective, especially as I am also exploring ways to creatively collaborate for a greater good.

“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.” Albert Schweitzer – humanitarian, physician

This can come from reading good books. Have you read any good books lately?

Don’t Become a Statistic (Sobering Statistics About Readers Today)

“33% of high school graduates never read another book the rest of their lives and 42% of college grads never read another book after college. 70% of US adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years and 80% of US families did not buy or read a book last year.”

After recently being with an extraordinary business consultant and thought-leading author Kelli Richards, I decided to read her book, The Magic and Moxie of Apple – An Insider’s View as my first title for this New Year.

I also published a book in December 2021 that you may want to consider. 😊😊

The Essence of an Accomplished Life: A How-To-Guide for Fulfilling Your Dreams and Living Your Callings

If you are so inclined, do you have a book that you want to suggest for our readers?

Let me know and we may publish the best recommendations in an upcoming issue.

In a recognized classic in his field, a world-renowned psychiatrist and bestselling author David Viscott published his 2003 version of Finding Your Strength in Difficult Times: A Book of Meditations. The author hosted a pioneering radio talk show in the 1980s and 1990s during which he provided counseling to callers.

David Viscott often stated that life was composed of three parts:

  • The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
  • The work of life is to develop it.
  • The meaning of life is to give your gift away.

Can 2022 be a year where you can totally amaze yourself and exceed your wildest expectations of what is possible for you? Why not delight yourself??

WDYT?? Let me know what you are up to and what you might be up against.

I look forward to expanding our relationship and our future efforts together.

Wishing for You a Happier, Healthier, Prosperous, Exemplary Year in 2022.

With sincere and deep appreciation,
Coach Don
