To all our highly valued clients and acquaintances:

We’re all well past the New Year’s Resolution Stage and on to living our lives and doing our work, as best as we know. You are probably already aware that research indicates that 80% of people ditch their New Year’s resolutions by February. (Forbes)

Am I correct to assume that you are committed to being in The Top 20% Group??

How do we keep things interesting & relevant vs boring & mundane?

Here are exercises from my book (The Essence of an Accomplished Life ~ How-To-Guidefor Fulfilling Your Dreams & Living Your Callings)that may help you along:

Healthy, Networked Communities Can Empower and Energize Us

Create Wind Beneath Your Wings and Your Power to Persist

Build Sustainable Support Systems That Help You to Be Your Best

  • What learning communities or professional associations do you participate in to reinvigorate and revitalize yourself, to stay ahead of what is most important for you?
  • Where can you get the best possible support for yourself? Who can you support??

Highly Effective People are Always Creating New Possibilities

Regardless of Obstacles, Curve Balls, Setbacks and Surprises

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” R. Buckminster Fuller

To achieve milestones/breakthroughs you have never achieved before, you may have to become someone you have never been before – who will you now be and become?

Answer these questions to Trigger New Possibilities

  • What is needed now? Courage? Patience? Persistence?
  • What is called for now? Care? Connection? Compassion?
  • What is important that was not before? What is not important?
  • Knowing what you now know, what do you need to accomplish?
  • Is it time for greater determination, focus, discipline, and implementation?

A good friend of mine reminded me that I once said, “Regret is the cancer of life.”

I am not sure where I picked up this idea. I do not think I invented it. But it is certainly true, yes? I have used it as an additional catalyst to take running jumps into the lakes of life and be more adventurous and opportunistic with the one-time gift that life can be.

This idea reminds me of this key quote from a speaker and author, Jim Rohn.

“We must all suffer from one of two pains:

the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.

The difference is discipline weighs ounces

while regret weighs tons.”

In terms of you being more creatively collaborative in partnership with others, are you as prepared as possible with your healthy self-reliance to then work effectively with others?

Some of the best coaching I’ve received on this topic is from SmartMatch Alliances™.

“If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.” – Zig Ziglar, American Author and Inspirational Speaker

PS – a collaborative resource that may be relevant for some. Friend and respected colleague, Dr. Steven B. Goldman, Senior Lecturer, for MIT Professional Education and Director, Crisis Courses, asked me to let you be aware of a special upcoming course being offered from MIT, that is titled Crisis Management & Business Resiliency”.

Good leaders know a likely crisis will eventually impact their business. Ransomware, workplace violence, supply chain, data breach, natural disasters . . . it’s not a matter of “if” – it’s a matter of “when”. As the expression goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. MIT will present Crisis Management & Business Resiliencyon campus July 24 – 28, 2023 and online October 16-20 and 23-26. In addition to the excellent learning and contacts, you will receive an official certificate from MIT (great for LinkedIn). For more detailed information, please see https://professional.mit.edu/cm.
