What’s Your Three-Year Vision? Create a compelling, passionate, personalized three-year vision

For some of us, now that our business is past the typically busy “tax time” period, this may be a good time to take a fresh look at our vision for ourselves and our business.

From time to time, we all need to stop and think, what are we doing and why? When this happens, it may be time to take a fresh look to see if we are vividly clear and fully engaged with a compelling and passionate vision, 2-3 years into the future.

You may want to jot down some of your responses to a few key questions:

  • What’s my story? What do I most love to do? What am I really, really good at? What’s my value proposition?
  • What real problems am I solving in the marketplace? What pressing needs do people have, that they will pay me to help them address?
  • Am I working with A+ players and top-tier talent? (Good people don’t cost money.)
  • Where can I make the biggest positive difference? Am I working in “the sweet spot”?

Suggested Action Items
Set yourself up for your next big thing.

#1) Create a Compelling and Passionate Personalized Three Year Vision

Invest an hour to write out a pager describing the following:

What is my life going to look like if I am living my life to the fullest?

If we were meeting here, in 3 years time, looking back over past 36 months, what would have happened for you to be happy with your progress, both personally and professionally?

#2) Create a Master Dream List for 2016

What are your major personal and professional dreams / goals?

#3) Complete a 90-Day Goal Sheet
What do I want in my life that I do not have right now?
What do I want more or less of?

#4) Create a Monthly Absolute Must List for May 2016 (link)

Will it inspire you to shift focus and give more attention to your most important priorities? Will it energize you to do whatever it takes to stay focused and to follow through?
